Your voice has the power to shape your future.

We work side-by-side with young people to unlock that potential through the power of the arts.

What We Do

Advot’s groundbreaking Ripple Method uses artistic exploration to teach youth vital communication and relationship-building skills—empowering them to become more courageous and effective self-advocates.

Our method is based on the following guiding principles:

Relationships are key to success in life.

Communication is vital for relationships to thrive.

Art is one of the most effective ways to learn.

Through theatre techniques, spoken word, writing, expressive arts, and movement, we teach youth concrete skills to develop stronger relationships. From intentional listening to perspective taking, these tools empower young people to build inspiring, productive, and independent lives.

Our Partners

Advot works with thousands of youth in close to 50 schools, afterschool programs, community centers, re-entry services, and juvenile detention facilities.

We work with our partners to ensure that their young people have the best chance at overcoming the barriers in their lives—and writing the next vibrant chapter of their story.

Our Impact

Whether they wake up in privilege or prison, our young people leave our programs with the same profound belief: their dreams are worthy, valuable, and within reach.

After experiencing Advot's program, youth report the following:

94%

are more comfortable asking for what they need

100%

listen better to understand others

95%

believe their opinions are worth sharing with others

With Advot, I learned how to communicate and express myself better. I was very interested in advocating for others, but I didn’t know how to. With Advot, I learned how to advocate and, now, every opportunity I get, I advocate for others.”

Ripple Method Training & Consulting

Ripple Method Consulting is Advot’s training and curriculum development program for organizations serving youth.

We teach teams and leaders our groundbreaking approach to empowering youth with vital communication and relationship-building skills by tapping into the power of artistic exploration. If you are a youth program or organization and interested in learning more, reach out to us.

Advot staff training was a one-of-a-kind experience. The training has improved our team's relationships and communication and, most importantly, helped us build great rapport with our youth. I use the five communication streams during our restorative practices with our students, which has helped improve their behaviors.”
