Home Shalom & Other Faith-Based Programs

Our programs for faith-based communities empower teens from various traditions with the tools to find their voice and build healthy, life-sustaining relationships. We engage youth by weaving together the principles of our Ripple Method with tenets of each faith tradition.

I learned the importance of being on the same page and how to level with my fellow humans. I am now focusing on building stronger relationships.”

Henry Good, Home Shalom alum

Our flagship FAITH-BASED program

Home Shalom empowers Jewish teens to find their voice—and use it to advocate for others.

Grounded in Jewish values and text, Home Shalom programs offer a safe environment for teens to explore pressing relationship issues free from judgment.

Home Shalom offers two core programs:

Teen Workshops

Through creative arts exercises, Home Shalom workshops delve deep into skill-building, teaching Jewish teens how to cultivate healthy communication skills and foster respectful relationships with peers, family, and the broader community.

Staff Development

Our staff training program teaches teams at Jewish institutions how to apply our Ripple Method to their unique context and constituency. Through both training and materials, we give staff the resources they need to open up important conversations and nurture a strong trajectory for their youth.

This program is generously supported by the Covenant Foundation and LA Jewish Teen Initiative.

Faith Programs Highlight: India

For the past two decades, Advot has been working in India, bringing the Ripple Method to diverse constituencies from sex workers in Mumbai to college students in Chennai and beyond. Working closely with partners like Prakriti Foundation and International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care (PCVC), Advot is consistently adapting our curriculum to India’s unique cultural and religious context.
